About Me:
Hello, my name is Elisa Jimenez. I am an artist and a high school student. My whole life I have always loved art and when I was little my dream was to grow up and become a fashion designer. I have always been known to be a creative person and have always been a hands on person. I am going through an experience in art I never thought would be so hard. I am now going through an IB art program. Through this art program I am in I have learned to work with a lot of different media within this past year like plaster, clay, oil paints, etc. I have also learned what I am capable of doing and what I need to work on. I have realized my strength is painting nature and my weakness is painting faces. I am learning and trying my best to get better. The reason why I love art so much is because in the world today and in school it is hard to have a lot of creativity. In art I can. I am able to put all of my thoughts and ideas into something I create on my own by scratch, and that kind of accomplishment is amazing to feel and be proud of. With this it allows me to clear my mind and focus on other school work better. This year I have had multiple artisits influence my work. This includes Cy Twombly, John WIlliam, Katsushika Hokusai, Bansky, and many more. One artisit that I wanted to use for a paitning this year was Andy Warhol. I haven't used him in any of my work yet because it didn't feel right. You will be seeing something that will be inspired by him soon though! So keep up with my work and progress and you might be surprised at what I can achieve! Check out my studio work and how i thought of all of them in my IWB pages!
